Gap-filling tool
Workout Planner
An equipment-aware workout planning app — tell it what's in the gym and it builds a training session around exactly what you have. Grew from a simple utility into a full training app.
Try the app →The problem
Hotel gyms and unfamiliar facilities have unpredictable equipment. Generic workout apps assume a full commercial gym and fall apart the moment a machine is missing, leaving travelers to improvise or skip the session entirely.
What we built
We built an equipment-aware planner: you tell it what's actually available — dumbbells to a specific weight, a single cable machine, nothing but bodyweight — and it generates a coherent training session around those constraints. What started as a narrow travel utility grew into a full training app as the planning engine proved out.
Timeline
Built fast as a focused utility, then iterated into a full app over subsequent monthly cycles as usage validated the direction.

Outcome
- Usable workout in seconds from whatever equipment is on hand
- Grew from a single-purpose tool into a full training app
- Validated the build-small-then-iterate model
Questions
What makes Workout Planner different from other fitness apps?
It plans around the equipment you actually have in front of you, rather than assuming a fully-stocked commercial gym. That makes it useful in hotel gyms, home setups, and unfamiliar facilities.
How did a small utility become a full app?
It started as a narrow tool for planning around limited equipment. Once the planning engine proved useful, we iterated it into a full training app over monthly cycles.
